Product property

They are white, fine powder, insoluble in water. When mixed with hot, strong mineral acids, they decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salts.They are widely used as lubricants, slipping agents, heat-stabilizers, mould releasing agents and accelerants in plastic, machinery engineering, rubber, paints and inks industry etc.

Application

l         Calcium stearate is employed almost universally in rigid PVC compounds as an inernal aand external lubricant.

l         In the extrusion of PVC pipe,calcium,stearate also help to prevent scorching during processing,having a synergistic effective in conjction with organo-tin stabilizer.

l         Calcium stearate is generally th preferred lubricant for use in polypropylene,ABS and pbenolic olding compounds.. For use in premix molding of reinforced polyesters,it can be used to facilitate mold release,and minimize surface bloom.
